You're invited to join me and some friends!
October is gonna be fun. (Ok maybe not FUN, but al least not boring)
Hello readers,
I wanted to invite you to join me at two amazing events (on-line of course…ugh one day we will be together again!)
First: Evolving Faith
Vision of the Evolving Faith Conference:
We envision a community where the thirsty become water-bearers, the hungry become bread-makers, the wounded are our healers, the misfits become friends, and the wanderers find a home.
The Evolving Faith conference was started several years ago by my dear friends, Rachel Held Evans and Sara Bessey. Just months before Rachel died, she brought another one of our friends, Jeff Chu in as a fellow organizer. I cannot over-state the regard I have for these three people. They are the real thing and I am delighted to be involved in their conference again. So…
On October 2nd and 3rd, 24 amazing people will join Sarah Bessey and Jeff Chu, some in person, some by the miracles of technology. These are extraordinary humans—activists and artists, writers and preachers, theologians and pastors, dreamers and doers. Look them up: Alicia Crosby, Amena Brown, Amy-Jill Levine, Audrey Assad, Barbara Brown Taylor, Carol Gallagher, Chanequa Walker-Barnes, Gail Song Bantum, Jen Hatmaker, Kate Bowler, Kelley Nikondeha, Kenji Kuramitsu, Neichelle Guidry, Nichole Nordeman, Mihee Kim-Kort, Monica Coleman, Pádraig Ó Tuama, Propaganda, Rhina Ramos, Sherrilyn Ifill, Tanya Marlow, Terry Stokes, and Winnie Varghese and me!
Second: The Ally Tour
My friend Lisa Sharon Harper dreamed up a series of four virtual events in which women discuss race, allies, friendship and truth and we’d love for you to join us! It’s gonna get real.
Four Mondays in October - join us for any or all of them!

WHITE POWER VS. WOMEN’S POWER
OCTOBER 19TH, 7:30PM ET- 9PM ET
Lisa, Jen, Brenda, Sarah, Alexia, Kirsten
