I have been exposed And await test results for the symptomatic patient. I have to allow my daughter to stay with her father whom I am in a custody battle with as he attempts to destroy our relationship. I am heartbroken. I am frightened as I watch the leader ship of this country stumble time and time again. My heart breaks for those who have lost loved ones and for those who suffer with isolation alone. For the high school seniors who are devastated to be missing out on so many precious milestones and memories... and who simultaneously struggle with feeling guilty about such “trivial” things when they know that they should be thankful for their health and family and food and shelter, etc. It just seems like a lot to ask of someone to trade in the last of their childhood for such an adult-level burden.

We scheduled my daughter’s senior pictures months ago for today. We had tears as she is coming to terms with no prom, no graduation...

So we kept the appointment, moved the location to our backyard and fortunately, our friend and photographer kept her social distance and we celebrated. It was not how we planned, but she said afterwards how glad she was that we didn’t cancel. I promised we would find ways to celebrate.

Please pray for my mom, who is in rehab in a nursing home. The angst that she is already compromised by her heart issues and is inaccessible to visit or care for myself holds me hostage and unable to breathe sometimes. Praying day after day that she regains the strength she needs to get her out of there and get her home safely!

Lisa, I am with you on this. My mom is in memory care. I am so thankful that she and the other residents and their caregivers have remained healthy and that they receive the care they deserve. May we get to see our moms soon.

My mom is in assisted living . I haven't seen her in 4 weeks. I am beyond grateful to her caregivers. They have set up facetime and microsoft meetings. She is doing well inspite of her dementia and the new norm.

My husband is alone in a nursing home. He is trying hard to stay positive, but they are not allowed visitors and I have not seen him in 6 weeks. I pray for the health care workers and all who are confined in health related facilities. ❤

I'm a receptionist in a retirement community that includes assisted living, full-time skilled nursing, and memory care. Telling people they cannot visit their own family, or telling residents they cannot have any visitors, is easily the hardest part of my job right now.

I only leave the house to go to work and, once a week, walk to the grocery store with a mask on. My worst fear is giving the virus to a coworker or resident. Being careful on my days off is, in my opinion, part of my job these days.

We're going to be so slammed with visitors when this is over. I'll barely have a moment to myself at work. I'm looking forward to it!

Lord I ask that you grant sleep to the sleepless, peace to the restless, comfort to the hurting. I ask for protection to those who cannot stay at home, as their service takes them in harm’s way. I thank you for all the Protection you have already given, and ask that you not let us forget those around us who are in need. Grant us love for one another. Thanks 🙏🏽 for all the blessings we find, if we just look with new eyes.
